Online exchanging is continuing to grow significantly within the previous decade. A new stock options broker must utilize a brokerage to get into their own investment instructions.

Stocking o' snowmen by BaconThenEggs

Option trading is one of the more mysterious ventures on Wall Street. Many traders simply do not understand how they work. They often hear the statement that options are risky and volatile. This is true, for the most part. Not all options carry the same risks. Options are all about probabilities, and this can be said of all trading. The biggest risk in trading is the loss of capital. Wiping out your trading account puts you out of the game. Trading deep-in-the-money options offers a way to control risks and conserve precious capital.

Swing traders and position traders can benefit by substituting deep-in-the-money-options for stocks. The vast majority of options traders buy at-the-money or out-of-the-money contracts. Most of these types of options have no intrinsic value. They have much lower probabilities of ending up with value at expiration. Outrageous percentage gains can be made with buying cheap options. The main problem is that it is often difficult to be consistent with this strategy. You need to see a large move in price before these options become profitable. The fact is, most price moves in the markets are small. For higher price stocks, it is normal to see moves of $1 to $5 in both directions. This is where a strategy trading deep-in-the-money options can be practical.

For example, let's look at trading a $70 stock. I buy 500 shares and the cost is $35,000. Commissions will be omitted. The target selling price is $74. I will take profits at that price. This stock is near a support price of $69, so I set a stop at $68.70. If the price falls below this level, I will sell it to protect my downside risk. The trade lasts for a week. For comparison purposes, any of the following five outcomes occurs. The stock doesn't move much in price and I sell it at $70 for a break even. The stock rises to the target price and is sold for a $2,000 gain. The stock takes off on good news and rises to $83 and I sell for a $6,500 profit. The stock fails to rise and the price stop is hit at $68.70 , for a loss of $650. The stock gaps down below the stop price on bad news and I end up selling it at $55. The loss is $7,500 because the stop failed to protect my risk of loss since it was never hit.

Keeping in mind that the objective is to keep losses from eroding my capital base, I will look at the same trade using deep-in-the-money-options. I buy five $55 call contracts at a price of $1,530 each for a total of $7,650. These options are $15 in-the-money ($70-$55). Five call options are equal to 500 shares of stock. Call options will gain in value if the stock rises. These deep-in-the-money options have a delta of 93 with three weeks until they expire. This means that the price of the option will move about the same dollar amount as the stock. This is one advantage over trading cheaper options. They have lower deltas and will move up in price by a lesser amount for every dollar move in the stock.

First off, notice the difference in total costs. The stock was bought for $35,000. The deep-in-the-money options cost was $7,650. Thus, I have significantly lowered my overall market risk. Over $27,000 remains in my account to collect interest. I have essentially set up the same trade using deep-in-the-money options. I now have plenty of capital left to add a few other positions in some other trading opportunities. If I wanted, I could create similar positions in three or four other options with the same capital I used for one stock. I could even hedge my original option purchase by adding cheaper put options to protect against a major fall in price.

I have limited my total possible loss on this trade to the cost of the option position ($7,650). The stock could fall off a cliff and lose half its value in a day or two. The stop I had placed to limit my losses would only work if the price drops through it or trades back up to it. If I buy the stock, about the only way to protect against a large gap down in price is to use a put option. Since I only plan on holding the position for week or less, the chance of a dramatic price drop is fairly slim.

The results for the option trade compare favorably to the stock trade. If the stock price stays the same, I can close my option position for about the same price I paid for it. There was very little time value in the cost because it was a deep-in-the-money option. At most, I might lose $20 or $30 a contract because of the option spreads (the difference between the bid and ask price). The cheaper options that I could have bought had much more time value. As time passes, the stock might not change in price, but the option will still lose value. I avoided this problem by using deep-in-the-money options. This is a main concern with cheaper options. They have time working against them.

Next, with the stock at $74, my options can be sold for $1,900. This represents a gain of $370 or $1,850 for the five contacts. This compares to the stock gain of $2,000. It is slightly less, but remember I reduced my trading risks. With the stock at $83, I can sell the options for a total gain of $6,350. Again, this compares well to the stock gain of $6,500. In both cases, the difference in profits was only $150. On to the last two results. The stock falls to the $68.70 stop and I sell the option position for $1,380 a contract or $6,900. This gives me a loss of $750 verses the stock loss of $650. Not a big difference at all. Finally, the stock is at $55 and my options are sold for $300 each, or a total of $1,500. The loss is $6,150 compared to the stock loss of $7,500. The difference occurs because the $55 call options are now at-the-money. This means they have a time value attached to the premium. By using deep-in-the-money-options, I reduced my risk of suffering a major loss. That is one of the key axioms of trading; to preserve capital at all costs.

Trading deep-in-the-money options can work for just about any size account. They work well for targeting small gains in all kinds of market conditions. Deep-in-the-money put options can be used to take advantage of moves to the downside. Directional trading for small gains can be extremely profitable as long as losses are contained and kept to a minimum. Trading for one to three point gains can add up over time. There are far more setups for this type of trading. Risks of a major trading loss can be virtually eliminated with deep-in-the-money options. By their very nature, deep-in-the-money options have higher probabilities of maintaining value. This is where success can be found. It hides in places that few traders ever consider investigating.

ramp by sosidesc

Ramp Riders is a skate park located at 2324 Salena Street, in St. Louis, Missouri. It's considered by most to be the best skate park in Missouri; but does it really live up to the hype?

I'll admit, I once judged a book by its cover. It's hard not to when the cover is a warehouse in a seemingly shady neighborhood that has seen better days. I'm glad I decided to look past the exterior and give the place a chance. After walking up a flight of stairs and opening the doors to the indoor skate park, I was pleasantly surprised.

The floor is smooth concrete and the place is littered with wooden ramps, ranging from vert, kickers, rails, and curbs. Ramp Riders has it everything you'd expect from a great skatepark and then some. More advanced features include a moveable street course, 4' quarter pipe, and a curved wallride. Needless to say, Ramp Riders caters to everyone, regardless of age or skill level.

Due to the dangerous nature of the extreme sports, everyone looking to participate will be required to sign a waver before they are allowed to step foot on the ramps. This is understandable, and it's nice to see that Ramp Riders is run my people that actually know how to do things by the book. I've been to several skate parks that weren't this legit.

Ramp Riders offers training courses for kids from the ages 2-10 for the low price of $10. The program is called Wee Man Beginner Session. Unfortunately, the actual Wee Man doesn't make an appearance. But the overall experience of these courses should more than make up for it. A team member will always be present to supervise and help make everyone comfortable with skateboards, bikes, and the ramps. Whoever accompanies the child is welcome to participate as well - for free. It doesn't stop there, though. Besides the hands on learning experience, your $10 will also net you a Capri Sun and pizza. These beginner sessions take place every Sunday from 10AM-Noon. If you stay after the beginner session, you're allowed to partake in the open session for free. An open session is exactly what it sounds like - kids are allowed to put their training to the test in an open environment without the handholding of the beginner session. The first open session is from Noon-4PM.

If you're just starting out and a little shy, Ramp Riders also offers private lessons. Their team members are boasted as the "best in St. Louis," happen to be friendly and helpful, and are always available for one on one lessons - granted you schedule in up to one week in advance. The prices are a little steep: $35.00 for one hour or $60.00 for two hours. You're also required to supply a nonrefundable $20.00 deposit to reserve a lesson.

They offer some cool special incentives to keep coming back. You get to ride or skate for free on your birthday. All you have to do is supply a valid form of identification. Every Thursday girls can get in on the action for free. Bible Banger Sunday allows you to bring in your church's Sunday bulletin to get one session for $5. If you're old and desperately trying to hold on to your youth, every third Monday of every month BMX riders get to ride for free.

There's a skate and bike shop onsite, stocked with BMX, skateboard, and inline skating products. If they don't have it in stock, they can order it within 5-7 days at no shipping cost to you. All bikes are assembled by qualified mechanics that ride BMX themselves. You'll have the ability to ride the bike in the park before you buy it. With the purchase of a complete bike you receive five free sessions, 1-year adjustments, and free additional part installations. They also offer gift certificates, which can be used on merchandise or sessions, and layaway.

Ramp Riders is the go-to skate park in Missouri. The price of admission is only $10. I have yet to encounter one that beats the overall experience and community at Ramp Riders.

...stock market... by losy

Ten tips to help you get started on the right foot investing in the stock market...

Educate yourself about the market ~
Do your homework and learn all you can before you start deciding where to invest your hard-earned money. Look at the history of the stocks you're considering and learn to read a prospectus.

Set investment goals for yourself ~
Decide exactly much much you're will to spend, and what prices (high or low) you will sell at. When you reach your goal, reassess. Don't be afraid to change what isn't working, but don't be to quick to judge either. Decide how many week/months/years you're willing to hold each investment, and then give the market a chance to sort itself out over that whole time period.

Don't gamble with the grocery money ~
Or the rent money, or anything else you really can't afford to lose. Always remember that the stock market is a gamble. Don't risk money that you need for immediate necessary expenses.

Invest for the long term ~
Stock prices will fluctuate, always! Don't panic if the short-term prices drop on a stable company. Always plan your stock investments to be held for at least five years. Over that time, the market fluctuations will have a chance to trend upwards overall. (Staring at the daily, or hourly, changes will drive you crazy!)

Diversify ~
Don't put all your eggs in one basket. You don't want to be in a position where one bad choice, or one bad turn of the market, wipes out all your hard work. Spread the risk around by buying in to several different kinds of securities. Some stocks, some bonds, some CDs, a variety of short and long term investments, and little bit of cash on hand for emergencies.

Consider an online broker service ~
But NOT the first months! If you're new to investing, it's worth the money to have a full-service broker leading you. Later, when you've learned more about how the market works, consider switching to a self-serve, or online service to help reduce your fees.

Get your money's worth ~
Consider stocks of companies that are still growing. You'll get more shares for your money, and have an opportunity to watch them grow as the company matures. The big name, prestigious companies are not always the best value for investors. Companies that are already well-known and successful may have higher initial buy-in prices and slower growth because the big 'spurt' is already past.

Don't get greedy! ~
The stock market is not a get rich quick scheme. Be very wary of 'hot tips' that are supposed to make you a fortune overnight. Take investment advice from reputable sources and always do your own research to double-check any claims. Remember the no one can guarantee how a stock will perform. Be suspicious of anyone who claims they can steer you towards a 'sure thing'.

Don't buy on impulse ~
Make an investment plan, and then stick with it! Don't get sucked into rumors and speculation about what the next 'great buy' it. Choose your stocks after calm rational investigation into their merits. Buying stocks when you feel desperate or panicky is like grocery shopping when you're hungry. You'll buy too much of the wrong things and regret it later.

Think about the tax issues ~
If you're not sure what they are, ASK! A few hours of a professional's time to go over your plans is worth the fee. Any benefit of your investments could be canceled out by poor tax planning, so don't go it alone on those details.

Happy Investing!!.

Chpt2-SecC: Some Say Stock Investing Is Like Gambling by palynp

One of the biggest concerns for shareholders is the value of their shares. Shares of stock, after all, are only worth as much as the company who offers them. Share price (in a very broad sense) is determined by the market value per share divided by the earnings per share of the company. Price Earnings Ratio.

Another important factor to consider is the number of shares outstanding in any one particular stock. If there are 4 billion shares outstanding; the value of the stock is going to be a lot more weighed on than if there are 300,000. The availability or lack-thereof strengthens or weakens the strength of the stock's value. When the value of a stock is dragged down by the availability of too many shares, this is called dilution.

Dilution is a real problem for penny stocks. Penny stocks are usually struggling companies who are trying a new business or up and coming stocks that have yet to prove themselves in their industry.

Just because a penny stock has a new product or service doesn't mean that it's destined to fail. The internet, new medical processes, new business paradigms, and smarter ways of getting old processes done are often what penny stocks are all about. If you have done your due diligence and you believe in the future of what your penny stock is all about, then you should invest in this company. However one of the biggest causes for concern is going to be if and when the company begins introducing too many shares to market, causing price deprecation from dilution.

Penny stock investors need to be wary of apocalyptic scenarios from less prudent temperaments. Dilution is often misdiagnosed by some in the financial services media and even in the chat rooms and financial discussion boards. If a company has issued new shares to market and these shares are gobbled up by smart investors who see the same promise in this company that you do, the impact on long term share value will ultimately be small.

What many companies do to raise money is issue new shares. Once the company has deals which are locked in place and the money is in hand, they will execute a buyback or a reverse split to reduce the number of outstanding shares by 10, 100, 1000, or even more.

Introduction of new shares to market can cause initial dilution. But if the product or service your company is bringing to market is worth enough to consumers, then cooler heads will rule the day and your stock will eventually recover and rise.

practice stock trading by StockTrading Simulator

The trading of stocks and options has certainly met with a great deal of new enthusiasm as of late. Many people who have never hired a stock broker, or even traded a single stock for that matter, are being attracted to the option of trading online preferably than in the traditional manner. One of the main rationalities behind this is that most of the newer generation of stock traders have literally grown up using a personal computer for more or less any task for which it's able.

As you can probably guess, given the chance to utilize online option stock trading, this newer generation of investors will happily go online to trade. One of the advantages to online option stock trading is the power to see real time gains and losses of stocks being traded. This allows market savvy traders to be able to identify which way the stock prices have most potential to go. Another big advantage which online option stock trading offers is the chance for the trader to spot and foresee stock price variations. The ability to speculate when a price fluctuation will occur can greatly heighten the trader's profits.

Being able to foresee when a price fluctuation may happen can also enable investors to hold on to a stock longer than they would usually if they are anticipating a price surge. Naturally this also goes with its own risks, , if the trader has a bullish position, and if the price falls drastically instead of rising, then the investor could stand to lose a significant amount of capital. One of the main attributes of any successful investor is a good sense of timing.

Online option stock trading is available for all types of stocks. It makes no difference what type of stock that you may be interested in trading, because you'll find that online option stock trading covers all stocks. Want to trade common shares? You can trade it online. You will also find that you can trade issue stock, story stock, penny stock, treasury shares, synthetic stock, preferred shares, and widow-and-orphan stock.

Another huge advantage that online option stock trading offers investors is a rather fast and fairly cheap method to trade stocks. These trades can be made from anywhere that the investor can find an internet access, at home or on the road. Some of the online option stock trading websites also give investors a trial demo account so that they can practice trading before they invest any capital. These demo accounts also act as stock trading training, allowing the investors to see how everything works and to get comfortable with online trading.

One thing is for certain; before you begin online option stock trading, be sure you fully understand all of the inherent risks associated with online option stock trading. Always do your research before picking a stock, and if you're uncertain of your abilities, consult a broker.

Where To Locate Ge Appliance Repair Internet Advertisements For Appliance Repair Technicians

appliance repair by Work Hard, Play Hard!

Are you having trouble with your dishwasher? Is the machine full of water? Does it refuse to drain? Don't despair, this can be an easier DIY fix than you could imagine. Most dishwasher repairs can be made by a homeowner armed with a few tools, a little knowledge and some mechanical skills. The first thing you have to look at with dishwasher repair is how the machine works. There are many resources on the Internet for appliance repair. They usually take you step-by-step through the repair process. Most have exploded views of the appliance in question, in this case, your dishwasher. Some sites even have links so you can order the part you need to complete your repair. At the end of this article, you will find a list of sites that will be helpful to your dishwasher repair job.

Before working on your dishwasher, remember that it is hooked to both your home's electrical and plumbing supply. Sometimes, the electrical is switched right by the sink. If this is the case, just simply make sure the switch is in the off position. You might want to tape it in the off position for added safety. Some dishwashers have a regular electrical cord and are plugged in under the sink in the cabinet area. It is simply a matter of unplugging the cord from the outlet to kill the power to the dishwasher. Some dishwashers are hardwired directly to your home's electric system. In this case, you will have to find the proper breaker or fuse.

The water supply shutoff is usually found under the kitchen sink in the cabinet area. If it is not under the sink, find the riser (water pipe) in the basement going up to that area. Turn off the water. Never work on a dishwasher that was just in use. The water and the parts will be hot.

The first thing to check on a dishwasher that doesn't drain is the drain line. This is the most common and easiest fixed solution. This problem can usually be fixed by unhooking the drain line from the household drain and the debris removed.

If the drain line is not the problem, the next thing to look at is the drain valve. The drain valve is usually located in the bottom section of the dishwasher. Consult your owners manual or look at one of the websites listed below to help you find and gain access to the drain valve. To find the drain valve, look for a water hose running from the motor or the tub. The valve will have a gate arm on it. You should be able to move this gate arm easily. If the gate arm doesn't move freely, replace the valve. The gate arm will also have two springs on it. If either spring is missing or damaged, replace the springs.

On the drain valve, you will find a solenoid. You can test the solenoid using a multimeter. Remove the wires going to the solenoid, making sure to mark the wires. Set the multimeter to the ohms settingX1. Touch a probe to each terminal. The multimeter should read around 40 ohms. If the reading is different than 40 ohms, replace the solenoid.

Here are some helpful websites to help you with your dishwasher repair problems:

If your dishwasher won't drain, do not worry. With a little mechanical ability and a little research, you can have your dishwasher running as it should in just a few hours.
